Common Merganser Mergus merganser
From a short sighting of two males of these uncommon winter migrants. As these were far I had to hop precariously over small and slippery river boulders to get a little closer while these kept moving. These were putting up quite a show, like swimming against the current and hunting for small fish in boulder-laden shallow waters.
